As the state of a New Year begins, people tend to make New Year's Resolutions. But many fall by the way side by the middle of February. Instead of making resolutions, why not make goals? There is a difference. A resolution is something you want to change, like loosing weight, or eating healthy. A goal should be something you want to achieve in your business. It is a step or series of steps you need to take to become more productive in your business.
Take out a calendar. Mark off when you will post to your blog and possible topics. Look at the holidays for the upcoming year. Can you align a product special with a holiday? It will receive more attention if you can.
After looking forward, don't forget to look backward. What are the lessons you have learned from blogging this past year? Did you remember to back up everything from your computer? As our computers grow another year older and the technology increases, it is easy to fill up your computer with the latest and newest information available. Use an external hard drive to store your drafts, pictures, and videos. It will free up some space on your hard drive.
No matter what your goals are for this New Year, remember to relax and enjoy your life. Blogging for business can become stressful. Take a deep breathe and smile. What are your goals for this year?
